Post Supermodels
So I was watching Who Killed the Electric Car, (which should be a topic in of itself) and there was a segment about a bunch of hardcore EV1 fans and activists trying to fight against GM. I got into a discussion with a friend about this and how it just helped prove my point that activism doesn't work. The solution I came up with is to hire a PR firm and get the money to hire the PR people from converting supermodels to sustainability, since they're always looking for causes to throw their mountains of dough at. An added side benefit of supermodels is that they can be spokesmen for the cause, beautiful, beautiful spokesmen.

So, any other ideas on improving on activism?

Post Re: Supermodels
A lot of my thoughts on activism and how to convince people end up in the realm of 'perceived value' and connect these days to the TEDTalk here.

(He mentions supermodels in a different context, and also talks about environmental stuffs)

One idea I had over break that i'd like to try is to have a table in towers lobby with signs of 'questions/confused about global warming/climate change? Come talk to us!' without FTP or ESW anywhere on them, and see who comes up to chat. Obviously, whoever is tabling should have a lot of background and information available to give people (websites as well as articles, preferably). Might be interesting, and somewhere between education and activism.
